Baden Powell Family Banquet

A selection of resources for a Scout group banquet.

Key Ideas and Objectives

Make the kids the objective, not the adults.
Pot luck, but group supplies the dessert otherwise not enough food.
Make your own sundae or banana split for dessert.
Awards for the kids; few awards for adults.
No speeches.
Pioneering structures for kids to play on.
Colour contest for Beaver Scouts.
Historical uniform and photo display.
Current photo display.
Small looping slide shows for each section during gathering.
Baden Powell themed place mats.
Group provides beverages (tea, coffee, fruit punch, lemonade).
All section projected slide show at the end.
Plays/songs/skits by the kids.
Multiple projectors for main slide show so everyone can see.
Public address system so everyone can hear.
Remembrance of Scouts that gave their lives in the war.
History of Baden Powell slide show.
