This is also known as Tomahawk Throwing. Build a thick board by laminating pieces of pine together. It should be at least 2" thick. Mounting it on a piece of plywood will make it more resistant to splitting. Stand back and gently toss your hatchets. It's surprising how quickly the kids can get the hang of it.
