The official sponsor the 1^st Merrickville Scout group is the Royal Canadian Legion. They hold the charter for the Scout group as well as providing significant financial support.

Eager Beaver Award

• This awarded to a senior deserving Beaver who has a positive influence to the colony, a good attendance record and is generally an Eager Beaver.
