The official sponsor the 1^st Merrickville Scout group is the Royal Canadian Legion. They hold the charter for the Scout group as well as providing significant financial support.

Eager Beaver Award

• Sponsored by the Merrickville branch of the Lions Club.
• This awarded to a senior deserving Beaver who has a positive influence to the colony, a good attendance record and is generally an Eager Beaver. This award includes a half week stay at Camp Opemikon.

• This is awarded to a Cub who represents has oustanding Pack representation, and spirit. This Cub is self motivated and true to the Law of the Pack. This award includes a week stay at Camp Opemikon.
