| Merrickville hosted the Hobbies & Wheels event for the third year in a row. The events and the fine weather made for an astounding success. The Meccano association brought a number of large models as well as parts for the kids to make their own items. The hobby show had the best participation ever. Cubs also built pioneering catapults, the Scouts built a pioneering climbing wall, and the Venturers introduced us to rocket propelled cars! The Merrickville fire deparment brought an pumper engine and Bill & Stella Lawrence from Almonte brought an real 18 wheeler cab. We also had the normal racing of Kars and trucks.
